Recently, I watched a video showing teachings of the Dalai Lama. What I liked was his demand that everyone should doubt what is taught in Buddhist scriptures. Do not easy believe, but only accepted for yourself what you previously reviewed.
Only when you have convinced yourself that a claim is true, then the knowledge is valid.
As a child I have always wondered why a woman could not be a Catholic priest. I am not able to imagine one reason why women are not qualified to pastoral care. My doubts helped me not to assume this catholic women image and to suspect behind the doctrine earthly interests that I should simply accept without question. Why should those be servants of God, who are not able to give birth?
The beauty of the Internet is that it connects us with meaningful people. I know my blog readers are meaningful people and critical minds, what did you doubt that you were expected to simply believe?

It's ok to doubt or question. It provides a chance to question our beliefs. To accept what we doubt without questioning, that is a problem. To change, adapt or question who we are is how we grow. It is then that we "know" what is right for us at that time.
