Rain in May

And soon the beautiful sunshine will be gone and the rain will com. In May I think, the song Rain in May fits every rainy occasion. I like it.

I remember some cleaning meditation. I dealt with hurt feelings. In particularly serious emotional injuries, I saw before my inner eyes desert areas and scorched earth, before I started with the cleaning. When the cleaning was successfully completed a rain started, which I had not deliberately visualized. In my imagination it was raining and all the withered earth, all the desert landscapes awoke back to life.

Many cultures view water or rain as a purification symbol. Hollywood movie directors and story book writers use water to explain or transition within their work. I love how you describe your experience. You may not have deliberately visualized "the cleansing" perhaps, but I think the rain and water "came" for you...

I will remember this...

Hi there - after my father's funeral last year the heavens opened up and we drove home in very heavy rain. It seemed so appropriate to us all - the area had been having a long drought and Dad's last few months had been very difficult - and it just seemed "right"

Thanks for your post - Robin

I can envision this meditation... it is simple and full of power... it has often rained in my life... it is raining now...

funny how we find words we need to hear...

Dear robin, I am sorry for your loss and thank you for telling us this wonderful short story.

Dear enreal, from time to time I encounter this word phenomenon too.
