Master or slave or what...?

"Before man attempts to solve the secrets of Universe ...., he should master the Universe within -- the Kingdom of the Self. When he has accomplished this, then he may, and should, go forth to gain the outer knowledge as a Master demanding its secrets, rather than as a slave begging for the crumbs from the table of knowledge."

Yogi Ramacharaka

A basic knowledge which we need to strengthen continuously in everyday life is that the familiarity and understanding of our inner world is the key to design the outside world according to our ideas. Without the loving understanding of our intrinsic qualities, we live as a slave at the table of others.

Examples of products of our inner world to foster our ability to actively shape the world are:

* Ideas and solutions which come from dreams to us.
* Meditations in which we cure diseases
* Intuitions which help us to benefit of opportunities
*
*

The list goes on, what crosses your mind?

"As above ..So below" is the maxim. In Sanskrit they are called "Brahmanda & Pindanda". As to this topic i posted on my Blog about a tree which is inverted in shape with roots above and the branches & leaves beow. The basic mistake everyone does is to water the branches and leaves, which is of no use. The roots must be watered, i.e. draw the energy from above. You covered the same very well.

Knowing one's self should be the primary goal, but sometimes knowing one's self is difficult unless you interact with others.

Dear kaydee, thank you for your further explanations which I really appreciate. I remeber reading that post of yours and it is a good read. All the best.

Dear jena, well that is a good point, as a lonsome wolf it may be difficult to learn all about oneself, blind spots, shadows... All the best.

Very wise and profound words... both you and Yogi Ramacharaka...

One product of our inner world...

Empathy... to try to build an understanding of our world... our inner world may be a part of another... foster and make it grow...

Another is the exploration...

as in our outer world we explore space yet know little of the ocean floor... always looking above the planet never within... if we explore more of our true selves individually and as a whole we could possibly grow larger than a whole...

great article Ray
