Six bees

Six bees met in front of the hive. They had the responsibility to feed drones. "These bad guys, they do not work and we always have to feed them. I hate them, "said one of the bee.

"But that bad it isn't," hummed the Second. "I feel pleased while they fill their bellies because their joy is contagious.

"Well it doesn't matter. What is all the joy good for when they themselves may not be interesting. The only one profiting slightly from the drones, that are the queens", said the third bee.

"Long live the Queen," cried every six bees at the same time, as the custom was for the bees, if the name of the queen was spoken out.

"So, I think, if they serve the Queen ...."

"Long live the Queen."

"Then it is alright. She will know why she feeds our brothers. Have we not become a big and strong hive? ", remarked the fourth one.

"Yes, that might be right. But how are we supposed to get bigger and stronger when these drones eat up anything here? "said the fifth worrying.

"It seems as though we disagree whether we need them or not. Let us find out what happens if we do not feed them. "

"An experiment", cried out pleased all the bees.

But they did not expect the queen to know of their secret plan. Even a few minutes later the Queen was aware of the operation of the bees and she sent her best bee - Maya - with the special honey, which was made of medicinal plants containing alkaloids. The queen knew of the consciousness effect of this particular honey.

The six bees were very surprised when Maya came with honey to them, but they nibbled obediently the sweet yellow juice. A few moments later, they felt very strange. First, they saw the six drones in new colors, then they felt like a drone.

They felt the painful love and admiration for the bees, they were so important and they performed all the important work. At the same time, they lacked any power to do something. A kind of inner paralysis was in them. They lived only for love and they suffered from this restriction, not to be like the other bees.

When the bees were sober again, they started to feed the drones again that could only love and nothing else. They felt for the first time in the view of the drones the love for them.
And deep in the belly of the hive, the queen hummed a song. A love song.

he he he, nothing could take the place to experience to be in another's shoe. This story superbly demonstrated this. I really admire how you presented the story - in a parable/fable type. Do you create these stories Ray? You could write a very interesting book if you compile all of them. They're unique.

Thanks for the ingrained moral lesson of this seemingly innocent story. it is actually a profound gem worthy of perusal.

Bees are curious and mysterious creatures. It has been said that bees are disappearing throughout the planet and this has consequences. Do you believe this is a sign of something specific of a spiritual nature?

Many times our minds refuse to understand the working of the other mind and assume what we do as the hard work.
