At the roadside

Today I was inspired by Robin J.

One saying - I think- is very wise. "The difference between a weed and a flower is a judgement.”

And how many of these weeds are growing on the roadside, exactly where nothing will grow?

Sometimes I feel like a weed, sometimes like a wort and sometimes like a flower but alone a name will make me no other human being.

"From the same topsoil, the weed grows and the flower" says Friedrich von Bodenstedt. And as simple as the statement seems to be, it means that we need not to compare ourselves with the beauty of other flowers while we have a lifetime to grow ahead us.

Wow! That is a nice thought. Being a weed or a flower. Nobody's perfect, so like you, I maybe the weed at times and the flower sometimes. Thanks for a very powerful insight.

Thank you for sharing that thought. I read it and it made me smile today.

Such a beautiful reminder... love the metaphor. It is always external beauty we perceive and desire... comparison is envy of the mind... within our hearts we desire the opposite, our hearts desire connection, our minds perception falters... thank you

Compare only to find out the different aspects of yourself.

If you perceive someone else as beautiful, it means that you have that beauty within you.

Thank you for a very good post (as usual) rainer. I am currently travelling, so my participation is somewhat limited these days. I visit almost every day though. :)
