In the 90s of 12th century Hartmann wrote his work, poor Heinrich.
Heinrich, a knight whom destiny had given everything what a knight can wish, a pleasant appearance, goods, wealth, strength and honour had been infested with the leprosy.
He went through a crisis. He recognised that now the nice life was over and there would be no healing for him. He visited the doctors of his time. He went to Montpellier and to Salerno nobody reassured him him heart that he could ever be cured again.
Except, so he got to know in Salerno, if he would find a virgin, purely and untouched who wanted to die voluntarily for him. With the fresh heart blood he could be cured of the leprosy. Heinrich knows this would no woman voluntary do and thus he submits to his illness and disappears from the public.
Poor Heinrich moves to a farm family. They have an eight-year-old daughter. Three years later she offers out of love for Heinrich that she would be glad to let herself be killed in order to see him cured. She asserts herself with good rhetoric against her parents and, besides, she talked not like a child, but like a man of 12th century. E.g. when she stated among other things that she would never get in danger to be ruined by the impure lust of the flesh if she would die young. As a virgin she would not know the lust of the flesh at all. However, thus only men think and not children.
Well, everybody wants to talk the child out of being allowed to be killed, but the little one was firmly decided, because she thought that the life of her Lord was more valuable, than hers. Thus Heinrich travelled with her to Salerno.
The doctor took the virging into a separate room where he tied her nude on a table and sharpened a long knife to cut out her heart.
Poor Heinrich spotted through a hole in the wall the naked beauty and then he was not any more able to allow that this beauty should be extinguished. He broke off the procedure and travelled back home. The girl was infuriated and called the doctor as well as poor Heinrich a coward.
However, God liked the behaviour of poor Heinrich and thus he got cured of the leprosy. Then he persuaded his relatives to approve his marriage with the farm daughter and his life became nicer than ever before.
I find it fascinating in poor Heinrich to see the unvarnished representation that men expect from women victims.
And there was the thinking in the western culture in the Middle Ages, virgins would have healing forces.
An idea that means in Africa for example for many virgins the coitus with AIDS sick men who believes a virgin would heal them of AIDS.
I do not believe personally in the strength of the virginity and believe firmly, that women who may live a free sexuality, and from whom we do not expect that they should continuously sacrifice themselves for men, are the true strength in our all life.
Indeed, poor Heinrich is a story which still warms up even today the heart of many men....

A Rumour of War...

Philip Caputo writes in his book A Rumour of War...
"The only thing I really liked about my boyhood surroundings were the Cook and DuPage County forest preserves, a belt of virgin woodland through wich flowed a muddy stream called Salt Creek. It was not too polluted then, and its sluggish waters yielded bullhead, catfish, carp, and a rare bass. There was small game in the woods, sometimes a deer or two, but most of all a hint of the wild past, when moccassined feet trod the forest paths and fur trappers cruised the rivers in bark canoes. Once in a while, I found flint arrowheads in the muddy creek bank. Looking at them, I would dream of that savage, heroic time and wish I had lived then, before A
America became a land of salesmen and shopping centers.
That is what I wanted, to find in a commonplace world a chance to live heroically. Having known nothing but security, comfort and peace, I hungered for danger, challenges and violence."
Philip Caputo wrote his book in the sixties - now a classic - and he describes the boredom in which he lived as a youth and about his entrance into the Marine Corps as an act of rebellion against his parents' plans of a bourgeois life.
He will feel older than his father when he returns out of the war in which he participated for 16 months. The book sounds honest and you can make connections between the souls of men and why they suddenly are capable of unimaginable acts of violence ....
Peace should never be boring for our young people ....

Secrets of Yogi Philosophy
At the time I read Secrets of Yogi Philosophy of Yogi Ramacharaka = William Walker Atkinson
He writes about the seven principles of man, in which he sees a rising value.
7. Spirit.
6. Spiritual-Mind.
5. Intellect.
4. Instinctive-Mind.
3. Prana, or Vital Force.
2. Astral Body.
1. Physical Body.
It was published 1903 by and I think you can feel that the author is trapped in a mindset of a certain time when he writes:
"The fifth principle, the intellect, has unfolded to a certain degree,
particularly in the more advanced men of to-day, but the unfoldment
is merely beginning with many. Many men are but little more than
animals, and their minds function almost entirely upon the instinctive
plane.....
In some of the lower animals, the fourth principle has attracted to
itself the lowest shading of the fifth principle, and the animal manifests
signs of a faint reasoning. On the other hand, in some of the lower
forms of man—the Bushman, for example—the fourth principle has
scarcely been perceptibly colored by the incoming fifth principle, and
the "man" is scarcely more than a brute, in fact is more of a brute,
mentally, than some of the higher domesticated animals, who, having
been for many generations in close companionship with man, have
been colored by his mental emanations."
But why should a shaman of the Ice Age be culturally or intellectually inferior to me, because I know how I can buy a refrigerator? It is always easy to see the weaknesses of someone else while I have no words for his strengths.

Cave of Niaux (France)
About two years ago I have been in the cave of Niaux in the south of France, the main season was already over and so we could with enter with hardly any people the cave, which meant that the leader had sufficient time to answer questions.
Such a cave is very sensitive and humidity of the breath of visitors and also the warmth of light, can destroy old prehistoric drawings. Therefore, only a limited amount of people is allowed for a short time into it. Here in the belly of the earth, it is as if a timeless space resides. There are no noticeable seasons inside at the end of a long corridor is located a high cave.
The wonderful drawings are so cleverly appropriate that the bellies of horses, cattle or lions, lions then it seems to have skilfully been brought into line to the curves of the rocks. The animals were painted so that when the lights were switched on they stood on the shadows.
We do not know what religious ideas the people at that time might have had, we do not know why there are in the cave at different places dots and lines left, but it must have been something special, something important for them,...
A few days ago I casually looked out the window and recognized on a hill a belly shaped structure, stirring memories of the bellies of the animal in Niaux. For a moment, my perception was confused and I saw cattle, undomesticated cattle before my eyes.
Now there is a cave in the vicinity were Neanderthals lived during the Stone Age . Whether they had left in the neighbourhood something that should attract animals? I do not know. But the relationship between the drawings in the cave and lively visualization of animals, I think is possible.
Maybe we still lack the science of archaeology meditation. That would be possibly then perhaps like this:
So reports a woman called Denton, who psychometrized a piece of a mastodon tooth, "I feel like a giant animal with heavy legs, with clumsy heavy head and a very large crude body. I'm going to a shallow water to drink, I can hardly speak My jaw is so heavy. What comes as a noise through the woods? It urges me to respond. My ears are very large and leather like ...." Source: Max Freedom Long, The Secret Science Behind Miracles![]()
or the historical meditation, we may discover be the great history as an endless succession of private spleens from proud nobility, who knows?

Think Pink

Doe Lang, has written a wonderful book, that I appreciate very much. Charisma: Discover and Unleash Your Hidden Powers
Lang reports on page 114 of her book a technique of the Rosecrucians. 'Color breathing' for healing. This is about the power of thoughts, the power of visualization to change things, to heal and to rejuvenate.
If I want to help someone whose emotional problems had lead to illness, then I imagine a pink or rosy color surrounding the person. Recommended is the practice at a time when the person is asleep. A physical proximity to the person is not required.
First, I meditate and purify my own consciousness, then I visualize the person whom I want to help. I am sending a feeling of love to surround him using the appropriate color.
If the illness is not caused emotionally but physically, then I send use orange color.
Light meditations are meditations which I am personally very much fond of and I bet some of you have this technique already applied. Did it work well?

How to recognize a consulter.

A story I like and that I have heard in different variations, I would like to quote
of the book of Helmut Fuchs, we are knowledge giants, but implementation dwarfs.
A shepherd guard his sheep on the edge of a deserted road.
Suddenly a brand new Porsche Boxster drives along and brakes with squeaky tires. The driver, a young man with very neat Armani suit, Cerruti shoes, Ray-Ban sunglasses and a Pal Zileri-tie, gets out of the car and asks the shepherd:
"When I find out how many sheep you have, will I get one?"
The shepherd looks at the young man, then at his flock of grazing sheep and replies:
"Yes, if you can, then you get a sheep."
The young man parks the car, connects his notebook with his mobile phone, surfs the Internet to the NASA website, scanned the area with his GPS system, opens a database and 60 Excel sheets with various macros and prints with his high-tech mini Printer a 150-page evaluation with color pictures and graphics.
Then he turns to the shepherd and says:
"You have exactly 1586 sheep."
The shepherd replies:
"That is correct, you can take a sheep."
The young man takes a sheep and put it in his Porsche.
The shepherd turns to the young man and asks:
"If i guess your profession, can I get back my sheep?"
The young man replies, "Yes, why not. That is something different."
The shepherd looks deep into the man's eyes:
"You are a company consultant."
"How do you know that?" the young man asks him visibly puzzled.
"Very simply," answers the shepherd.
"Firstly, you arrived here without being called. Secondly, you told me something what I already knew and I had to pay you. And thirdly, you have no idea what I do here, or else you would not have seized my dog. "
I must confess that I like the story time and again.

Mystic And Gurus
.jpg)
In Germany, we citizens have made our experiences with leaders. Two world wars have taught us that the meaning of a life of a German from time to time only has the meaning of human material for the power games of the powerful. I wonder whether the powerful have changed today? Whether today the politicians see something else in us, except material costs, and plans being pursued, regardless of individual destiny?
The world wars of today are different, they are part of economic life. The modern victims can not complain, because they will be cut down by cost saving based on laws. Then and now, the well-being of the state (the powerful) shows the way, not the love and social thinking. I e.g. in the 70s had not believed that one day the government would enforce that retirees with a pocket money of a few euros would have to pay new dues to protect the Republic against an unproven disaster taking place some thirty years in the future.
What for everyday life is true is equally true for the esoteric. Where people search for truth and knowledge, leaders emerge, wanting to be in power, wanting to show other people the way and also want to benefit personally. These people are starting from a certain point a one way communication, because they claim for themselves, a special general overview, a special knowledge, and indeed they have a special cold-bloodedness. A cold-bloodedness, which makes them insensitive to the consequences of the imposition of their views for their victims. Whoever follows a guru, no longer follows his own individual way.
In politics, that is clear to everyone, if we follow a party, then after the election our wishes, the voters wishes will be perceived as the language of the street, the language of the mob.We are used to those insults from the politicians, that the enormity of this classification no longer reach us.
After the vote, we have no voice anymore. In a sect, the individual wishes to develop are an aberration, which is mostly not consistent with the teachings of the leader. Mistakes has to be corrected and sects often strive for the control of very vital needs like the sexuality, desire for love and security, housing and food.
Why does it often happen that people in cults are sexually exploited that gurus demand obedience to the death, that the individual must give up its individuality for the benefit of the sect? Power. It is a question of mastering people and you can do very well by dominating their heads.
When 772 Karl the Great starts his Saxony wars and will thirty years cover peaceful people every summer with war, he has the church in the luggage in order to win the war on the religious basis. The Saxony are converted with the sword and with the words of the priest internally subdued. These chains are physically and mentally. The scheme is so successful that the rulers continue its operation. Physical constraints and psychological constraints go hand in hand. At a time when the Church is losing influence, press, the media, television and other belief systems take over the role of the inner taming of the citizens.
Why are gurus successful? Because the society in many areas treat its citizens unfree and there is a climate of social coldness. The church has taught the people over centuries that there is an organized way of salvation and that way is the only one. That each of us has his own personal salvation way that can be found, without the help of others, it is not a commonplace. Whoever now begins his search will find that he can answer his question himself, because the necessary experience and knowledge he will meet on his journey.
The state gives us the feeling that we citizens are not needed between the elections. We are not experts on governance and our perception alone is no guideline for a successful community. No, it can not be? I don't think so. We all have a fair idea of what a solution with love in a community could be. Unfortunately, the solutions of love do not govern, but the interest of money reigns. Let us experience the quietly smile at times when we name love and money in the same breath. We will get labeled incompetent.
To say it's all about. The State brings only some examples of people who master their destiny on their own. Apart from entrepreneurs, who again needs employees. We will be dependent, physically and mentally. This structure benefits the respective state organizations, business and the church. And in times where people turn their backs to the institutions in order to take their fate into their own hands, gurus will find rich prey by pretending to give us what church and state denied us so far. Love, respect, meaning of life, happiness, community.
All we find within ourselves, and when we have found it in us, then we do not need a guide or gurus, then our personal power leads us and takes us along . We will access what we need for our future development. We do not need leaders, we have to trust ourselves and always decide what we want to believe it or not. We can succeed if we learn to heed our inner voice.
A book that impressed me some time ago and I recommend is:

The Initiate in the New World
A beautiful book of Cyril Scott. From time to time I like to read it again. How much esoteric content appears unchanged while time passes by, only the language adapts to the spirit of the age.
".... Another important point is the need for synchronization of feeling and thoughts. If you meditate on love, do not think love, you should also feel love .....
Imagination .. is that from god heavenly built stairway on which people can reach the blissful heights of knowledge.
... Watch yourself: Love requires the food from inside and not from outside. As long as you depend on outside, you are never safe. Only if you decide that you want to be independent from those outward things, you will be sure ...."
