Admonition For The Traveller

"Arrogance rides on horseback and comes back on foot." Von Hutten

The first reminder that is given to the traveller, is the warning against the arrogance. The easy to quickly detect arrogance is not meant. It is about the arrogance associated with the growth of knowledge and experience. A little pride in the successfully travelled journeys. The notice of awkward behavior of others, when the spirit is coming down.

The traveler has to learn to face a dork in perfect humility before he can recognize the meaning of sanctuaries that the great devourer has set in the world. As long as the least drop superiority over the appearance of other people flows in your veins, that long the teaching is not given to you. And if you succeed in treating the simpleminded as equals, then the inner eye of the teaching opens.
