When Evelyn Waugh was told off by his friend and fellow novelist Nancy Mitford for his indifference to other people 's feelings and his occasional cruelty, she asked him how he could square his behaviour with being a practising catholic. " You have no idea, how much nastier I would be if I was not a catholic," Waugh replied. "Without supernatural aid I would hardly be a human being."We all have our recipes to maintain a social behaviour. I meditate often to cleanse my moods and tostay on course and I laugh a lot.

What do you do to become bearable to your environment?

I intentionally greet the day with a positive attitude. For instance, I say "good morning" and smile to the people I see on the way to my office in the morning. I am always prepared for the folks who will look at me strangely because acts of kindness are rare, especially in the morning. I thank God as I get out of bed, and when I walk outside to have my cup of coffee I have my five minutes with the trees, flowers and sky to welcome the new and glorious day. I surround myself with people and things that bring me great joy, and so my moods are good.
I have noticed that when I fail to do these things, my mood is awful and so I act awful...my whole day can be ruined.
I know lots of people who "seem" to be genuinely nice, good natured and positive most of the time. I, however, must work hard to fight the darkside within me.
Dear fearles blog, thank you for sharing your secret. I think persons who have to fight to be nice have a wider variety of feelings integrated and are usually very lovable.
Sometimes you need to do something to be bearable and if I feel the environment is getting an overdose of me, I withdraw, move away and be in meditation and silence.
Sometimes the environment can get overbearing and during that time I just cleanse my aura around me by mentally running my hands from head to toe and the rest of the recipe is same withdraw, meditate and remove myself from the environment till it's ok.
Dear swwahilya, running the hands through the aura sounds interesting I will try it out. I am glad you manage your moods so well.
