Bliss

What is bliss? That explained somebody to me free according to Steven Covey today.

Everyone has a self-determined sphere in which he can influence events, for example the family, the own house, etc. In the drawing above this sphere corresponds to the white circle. Then there is a sphere where we are other-directed by someone else. we could not influence the events in the blue circle. Therein are superiors, state, diesel prices, etc. ..

If I always concentrate my energy on the blue circle in order to be happy then I lose energy and my self-determined sphere is shrinking, while I feel myself as a victim and will always scold on the World. If I concentrate myself in my own sphere, then I will gradually increase its size and more and more blue areas will be added. This is the path to personal bliss.

Well, yes. My friend has a point in there.

Interesting line of thought.

I would prefer to describe it as a process of gradually (only momentarily at first) realizing that the blue sphere and the white sphere really are the same. Sort of a correction of the preconceived idea of the self in relation to the universe, when they are in fact one.
