Ordinary

Two angels met in heaven. One was beautiful. He had huge wings and everything he said sounded like the music of the world's best musicians.

The other angel was unremarkable, ordinary, even his wings were so small that he didn't dare to fly.

While the one angel talked and his musical voice was widely heard the ordinary angel became sad. "I'm so insignificant," he thought.

In his grief St. Peter knocked him on his short wings. "I need you for a mission," he said. "Thou shalt help people."

"But why me. Take that sunshine boy there. He will attract people's hearts immediately. He is far closer to the beauty and God's grace than I do."

"No," said Peter there. "It would result only in people following a bright light and everyone can do that. However, you're so insignificant that the humans have to create a fire of their own in order to understand your message. And an own light lasts a lifetime."
"Your friend here," Peter pointed to the pretty boy, "radiates just as long as we see him."

Ray,
It is such a touching story. Very well said, for the angel and for people . Such deep learnings from such a very short post. Thanks a lot.

By the way, do you create these stories? they're wonderful , they could be compiled in a book. Happy new year.
